About Us First Call For Help provides a comprehensive information and referral (I&R) service for the community. Its mission is to inform, guide, direct and link people in need to the appropriate human service, which alleviates or eliminates that need. The I & R center maintains accurate and up-to-date information regarding social services in the community. The staff is trained to interview each caller and refer him/her to a suitable provider. A needs determination and an appropriate referral reduce the caller's frustration and increase the likelihood of successful problem resolution. First Call For Help is a fully endorsed 211 Call Center. Callers residing in Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties call reach First Call For Help by dialing 211. Inclusion/Exclusion for Database FCFH includes information about human service agencies and programs based on the needs of the individuals and organizations that rely on the database. No organization has the right to be included in the database, FCFH in its sole discretion may exclude an organization regardless of the services offered by such organizations. The inclusion of for-profit organizations may depend in part whether those organizations provide a service not offered by a not-for-profit organization.
